August has been a strange month here in Old Blighty. I think that I've only seen about two days of sunshine for its entirety. Nontheless I spent a few days in Wales over the bank holiday weekend and travelled to mid Wales to shoot this waterfall. The last time I visited this site I didn't have a wide angle lens and could only capture images such as this. As I'm sure you would agree, this just doesn't do it justice although I was pleased with the colours.
The only advantage to the recent weather was that we had a whole day of unrelenting rain the day before my little jaunt. This led to the most dramatic quantity of water I have experienced here. I was very pleased. One issue to contend with was that of the mist that was whirling off the fall and constantly covering the lens. I was concerned that this fine spray might enter the camera but I think I got away with it.
The only disappointment was that due to the overcast conditions that the colours are far more muted than previos shots. Still you can't have everything although if you have any suggestions to improve this do drop me a line.
