The colours are really vibrant and that green background sets it off very well. As Emma said, it's a bit soft - looks like a considerable crop? I would also suggest cropping more to the left and less to the right - he looks a bit squashed with his face almost up to the right of the image. I think it's a generally well accepted tradition that there should be space in front of a subject with a face, if that makes sense. The amount of space depends on the angle, and the movement involved. This technique is used well in video too, such as in interviews - the more towards profile the angle of the subject becomes the more space they are given in front.

I thought this pretty sharp and that the crop was fine, balanced. The eye is neglible compared to the detail of the plummage. Hmmm, it is a crop though, just for that bit more focus.
