I like the lines too. I like how the red knob stands out, although I must admit to not being too keen on the yellow colours in this series. It looks to me too much like a white-balance problem. I think this image would benefit from cropping the office space in the background. The lines lead you directly to it and that's what ends up the subject of the image. Cropping it would make it more abstract and make the red knob clearly the subject.

As for the cropping,I wanted context and the DoF is fine, were the backdrop more detailed I may reconsider. As for the yellow light, I have waited these past days for a comment on this. The yellow is due to the the "plates'" susceptibilty to light. This whole room is bathed in yellow. I quite like the warmth it creates and that strange atmosphere.

I really like the bright colors and lines leading in to the dial. The small section of flourescent-lit generic indoor space in the upper right isn;t adding anything to the composition though...and you should crop it out leaving just the yellow/red IMHO.
