Not too long ago, Blake Neiderhauser posted this image. I really liked the thought of an abandoned building and all the connotations therein. I vowed that, given the opportunity, I too would love to capture something similar.

Now, the problem with living in Oxfordshire is that it is an extremely affluent county and anything vaguely resembling "period" or "blank canvass" gets snapped up for an unbelievably inflated price and subsequently restored. It's one of the few cities/counties that has no vacant commercial properties, let alone disused and crumbling ones. So when I chanced upon this old pub, (of all the type of place to find) although it's roof had fallen in and fencing twice the height of myself had been erected to prevent access, my interest was piqued. Fortunately part of the fence had been pulled away. I was in! I'll tell you more as the images unfold...
