'Doer Upper'

'Doer Upper'

The title relates to a favoured phrase used by real estate/estate agents. I love irony but they seemingly have no sense of this...

Here is the view that confronts you upon entering "The Prince of Wales". As I stood with my tripod trying to capture this, seemingly out of nowhere appeared a small bird. It perched for about ten seconds on the steel table (visible to the fore of the image) not more than 3 feet from me. It was strange but as we exchanged looks I felt that the creature was saying "Please, just leave" and then it fluttered off. I had a quick look as to where I guessed it had emerged. Lo and behold, behind some wallpaper that had fallen away from the wall and subsequently gathered along the dado rail, behind was a small nest with five eggs the exact size of "Cadbury's Mini Eggs". I shot this scene as quickly as I could so as to not disturb the creatures any longer.
