I shot this in the small fishing village of Beer (local 'beer' Otter ale, lovely).

I have to tell you a story regarding this shot. I'm on this beautiful slip of pebble beach and in photography mode, I'm in the zone. I'm mainly looking for a slightly different vantage point to capture this boat in a somewhat more unique way. In front of this beautiful vessel are two hardwood benches, just sitting there. Perfect, I'll stand/balance on those and get the shot. Click click click, "Oi! get off those benches" I suddenly hear. I turn around and see a man approaching and looking a little put out. "I've just varnished those" he says. Oops, I didn't realise, they looked like they were just lying about plus there was no warning sign. I felt really guilty. Still, didn't stop me asking him when the fishermen came in with their catch and what sort of catch it would be. Alas, although the haul was landed during the day, I was leaving the next. He told me all this and then, erm, went away for a few minutes to reappear with a pot of varnish and a brush...
