I am fast running out of processed images, why? Well, this is due to my Vaio laptop really not enjoying having to run Photoshop. Each process takes about 20 seconds, which, when you consider I undertake a minimum of 7 taskes per shot (and not all of these shots are subsequently used) and shoot around 100 images at a time, this proves very time consuming and subsequently frustrating. So frustrating in fact that I have succumbed and purchased a desktop computer. It has gotten to the stage that I have been loathe to take images off my camera, even though I am always curious as to how they have turned out. Just today I shot a curious scene and I think the light was about right so am much looking forward to finding out.
The desktop should be ready by the end of the weekend but it will be time consuming (setting the colourspace in CS once it has been installed, getting plugins, image viewers, RAW viewing, a web browser to get all those plugins etc... nightmare)and I'm sure that I'll still feel that it's all not quite right.
I swore I'd never get a desktop but at least the old laptop will be free to do what it does best. Let me surf whereever I wish. I felt guilty, what I was doing to it.
