Or so I am told by those that have worked there. The stench and the heat coupled with the noise making this a not particulary great place to work. It's an oil refinery near Milford Haven. There is now an LPG refinery (or storage depot) near there. The reason this is such a popular place for refinieries is due to the fact that this is one of the deepest natural waterways (is that the right phrase) in the world. The tankers transporting the LPG are the largest in the world, somewhere in the region of twice the size of the nearest oil tanker (if my memory serves me well). My favourite bit of information though is this. The storage containers for this cargo are so gigantic that when the engineers designed them... they had to take into account the curvature of the earth!
