At heart I am quite a romantic. Those of you who do not indulge in hand-writing a letter, may not realise the thought and considerstion involved.
I like nothing more than the ritual of composing a letter. One that is often sent to the other side of the world. I know, when I receive such a letter, it is a big deal. The postmark, the stamps, the writing material, the content. I keep all letters. They are a record and summarise a persons feelings at a given moment. They have been pondered and then written At times, re-written. There is something there that says "I have taken time over this" from the ink they chose to the weight of paper. Email may be swift but a hand-written letter leaves a lasting impression, one that can be chersihed for years to come.
Alot of processing was involved to portray this image. I adjusted the "levels", converted to B & W via "channel mixer" and then used a little magic to create the "sepia" effect. Noise was then added.
